Spend one or more October afternoons in the studio capturing the essence of fall's locally-grown abundance in vibrant watercolor and ink. Guest artist Tara Sweeney offers basic techniques, tips, and guidance for the art of creating one-of-a-kind greeting cards to celebrate autumn's bounty. Take home a set of cards to keep, send, frame, or give as a special gift.
Workshop fee per session: $45
One time $20 materials fee payable to instructor at first session
Tara Sweeney has been making and teaching art of one kind or another for 35 years. She is at work on a book length illustrated manuscript of creative nonfiction, “Close to Home: A Visual Journal,” which celebrates the extraordinary insights possible in the contemplation of ordinary things. “I listen for the world around me to speak, and then I draw and write to uncover the mystery and wisdom inherent in whatever it is that has captured my attention.” With extensive teaching and creative experience, Tara has a gift for helping others unlock ways to express their authentic subject matter and voice.
