Tara Sweeney can be found drawing, writing, and dancing just about anywhere inspiration calls. She has been making and teaching art of one kind or another for 35 years and makes no apology for loving flowers, familiar objects, and toe-tapping rhythms. Her current series, “Close to Home: A Visual Journal,” celebrates the extraordinary insights possible in the contemplation of ordinary things. “I listen for the world around me to speak, and then I draw and write to uncover the mystery and wisdom inherent in whatever it is that has captured my attention.” With extensive teaching and creative experience, Tara has a gift for helping others unlock ways to express who and where they are, and why it matters.
